The amphitheatre provides a suitable environment in which the students of Victoria School can go to for learning and relaxation. However, even though it is well-suited for the audience it was designed for, there are still improvements that can be made.
For this project, our aim is to increase the number of students visiting the amphitheatre, therefore, making it a more popular place among students and making it a more common venue for events.
As such, we suggest improvements that will greatly increase the aesthetic appeal of the amphitheatre by painting the amphitheatre with a long-lasting paint and coating it with varnish. The colors will be red and yellow, representing the school colors and instilling a sense of belonging to the school. The varnish is to prevent moss growth to improve hygiene standards.
I really like your idea of painting the amphitheater, it really is dull isn't it? Well I hope that the painting won't mess up Sec 1E's Victoria Challenge. Also, is there really a need for coating it with varnish? The amphitheater as it is now does not really have any moss-related problem does it?
ReplyDeleteI personally feel that the colour combination of red and yellow, both bright, is quite bold. A more welcoming tone should be implemented such as brown/yellow. Good skill with the Google Sketchup software shown. However, I feel that the changes are minimal, more should be implemented.
ReplyDeleteI feel that implementing the school's traditional colors of red and yellow is a great idea when teamed together with 1E's Victorian Challenge as it truly shows the Victorian Spirit, although i can't really find any changes that needs to be made, i think that your changes are barely minimal, thus i feel more changes can be implemented. Overall, the changes that you have suggested is good as it shows the school spirit but more changes can be implemented
ReplyDeleteI agree that the colours really make the amphitheater look more appealing and fun to use, but is it the only change you can make? i think that maybe you can add some fans into your design as even if the amphitheater looks nice, it will still be rather hot, especially in the afternoon.
ReplyDeleteThe colours are abit... bright and might not blend very well, creating a distraction to the classrooms nearby. You could install some fans like snsd lover said, and maybe add some murals to the floor to make it more interesting
